Mingy and Lanny Go To Arby’s

It wasn’t as dramatic as when Harold and Kumar went to White Castle but it’s still an adventure!

Mingy has been begging me to visit her at Yale so she can show me around the campus. I finally decided to get off my butt and visit her; however, the day I did it rained. I think its fate telling me Yale isn’t worth seeing (jk!). I still got to see bits of the campus including her dorm room. Her setup was your typical college dorm (desk, bed, closet, food supply) but the most interesting part was the softest, most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat on. It was one of those chairs that are just a big pillow on some wooden stand. It was amazingly nice to sit on and I’m going to have to get me one of those. I told her if I ever stayed the night, I would sleep on that chair.

Another thing before I move on is that Mingy was wearing rain boots. Now I wanted to laugh at her because I always thought rain boots were old school but after a few minutes of walking in the rain, my pants and shoes were soaked. Stupid Connecticut weather. I just might get a pair now especially if they’re as cute as hers.

Moving along we stopped by Sam’s Club to load up on food. We just happened to find a big panda body pillow that reminded me of her chair. I wanted it so badly but food of course comes first. There were also some nice flowers which was surprising to me because I always thought Sam’s Club was a bit ghetto. These were actually very colorful and contrasted a lot to the rest of the store.

After much delay and side stops, we finally arrived at Arby’s. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best experience. I really wanted an orange crème milk shake but they ran out! Pissed me off honestly and they didn’t have what I wanted either (honey bbq sandwhich). It’s been a few years since I last been to one and I can’t believe how much it’s changed. It’s really quite unfortunate but the food was still good. Also the service was much better than any fast food joint I’ve been to.

Thus our adventure ended there. We really missed our third amigo but I think she would have been better off not being in the rain.
