The weather’s getting chillier, which means autumn is right around the bend. Many people have already made the transition from summer to fall and started their Halloween decorating early. So far I think I’ve seen a good twenty houses or so all decked out in their fake spider webs and witches. Not to mention all of the department stores are starting to stock up on candy and costumes.

Speaking of monkeys, a classmate and I had a semi-serious discussion before class about dressing up for Halloween. It started out as just random banter but during this interlocution, I realized I hadn’t dressed up seriously in probably over a decade. No, definitely over a decade. It sucks, now that I think about it because as a child, Halloween used to be one of my favorite holidays. I remember one I dressed up as Tina Turner, then another year I was a prostitute (it was my mom’s idea I swear) and another year I was Cleopatra. It was so fun getting all ready to go trick or treat with friends or to go party but it seems though that people don’t really do costumes nowadays. Well I mean, of course there are the parades and such, but that doesn’t count. I mean, what happened to good old costume parties!?

We tossed around the idea of coming to class dressed as random characters. She suggested I be a nudist on strike, or that she come as Ash, and I could be Pikachu. I think I’d make a better Jigglypuff though. Pokémon characters aside, I been thinking that this year I want to dress up as a Disney Princess or something completely random like a Post It note, or maybe a clumsy ninja. Or how about one of these:

Whateves, you get the idea. I want to dress up. But dressing up isn’t the problem…it’s where to go once I’m all dolled up? I guess I should start visiting going more often, to see if anything will be of interest on the Hallows eve, eh?

So, has everybody already started planning your Halloween? What are you girls (and guys) dressing up as. I mean of course, if you still dress up, that is.

I don’t really do anything on Halloween because I’ve usually beenswamped with homework every since I was in middle school. I do dress up but it depends on l how I am feeling around Halloween.


Yeah I miss halloween but at least the parties are funner.


Halloween is the best!

I’m glad I still look like a kid so I can trick a treat!
