Boy that was a loaded premier. Season 5 looks like it’s going to be a loaded season. Spoilers after the jump (click more) in case some of you missed it and will be watching it later on ABC’s really sweet online streaming.

To whet your appetites, they packed a LOT of interesting setup in the first episode without ripping everything apart like they did last season. And I’m especially relieved that they got back into the DNA of a good Grey’s Anatomy episode - some sass, some mush, some bitching, some forgiving, some tragedy, some comedy, some darkness, some hope, some overhead problems, some underlying issues, some steamy new kissing, some great quotables, and of COURSE romantic tensions playing out all over the place in all different ways. I’m happy and eager for this season to unfold and hoping all you other fanatics are too ;D

Now for some spoilers:

- How sassy was Rose?? My friend totally called the pregancy scare but I totally called that it was a practical joke (I almost tried the same joke on an ex but the nice girl in me backed down, what a shame). I feel terrible for her because I know exactly what it’s like to be in her shoes and she’s just so pretty and smart that it sucks, but so it goes when you fall in love with McDreamy =/

- How amazing was the trauma guy??? I knew it was about time someone to filled Burke’s shoes and gave Cristina a bit of a push. Couldn’t think of anyone better for her than a badass hot military guy that swoops out as promptly as he swoops in. She was so stagnant and bitter last season I wanted to shoot someone because she’s my favorite character and needed to break back into her usual vivaciously bitchy self.

- How excited are you for Private Practice premier next Wednesday and gorgeous baller Addison getting some much-deserved action?!?
