In the December O8 issue of ELLE, Supermodel Gisele displays Alex & Chloe’s latest piece from the Black Diamonds Collection called “Le Pendule.” It’s just a simple pendulum, but it’s so gorgeous. All of the sides are smooth, except for the fourth. It’s got a small A&C logo that’s not obnoxious, or even noticeable. LOVES!

Maybe because Gisele is the model, and her beauty is being transferred to it, but this necklace’s simplicity is breathtaking! And I’m not kidding, if I had Alex & Chloe money, then it would be mine. Too bad it’s out of my budget because I really would buy one for myself and my friends in every color. Check ‘em out: More »

I’ll admit unabashedly that I’m an English major. Not only that, I consider myself a semi-feminist. Which is why I decided to combine those two aspect and compile a list of my favourite female literary characters from novels, the Bible, and plays. And this is all thanks to Tiffany’s post for giving me this idea. More »

Britney has given an exclusive pre-release of her newest album “Circus” to Imeem. After listening to the album, all I can say I was wrong.

While “Womanizer” and “If You Seek Amy” failed to keep me awake, the rest of the album proves impressive. The album is more personal (in a good way) than her Blackout album and goes back to the Britney we know and love. So far I’m loving “Circus” and “Out from Under”.

Is it possible she’s finally making her actual comeback? I hope so; however, I’ll make the final verdict after watching her MTV documentary “For the Record” this Sunday, Nov. 30th.

You can listen to the entire Circus album here.

I think it’s pretty clear by now that I adore shopping when it involves great deals, so you’d think that I’d be one of the crazies in the crowd on Black Friday. In reality though, I hate trying to fight the crowds (like Tiffany bravely did) and I usually plan my shopping trips to avoid them.

This year I finally gave up my longstanding conviction that online shopping is evil and Black Friday doubly so. I think I’ve dumped something like $75 at New York & Company, $40 at Ann Taylor, and $40 at American Eagle in the last 48 hours to take advantage of Thanksgiving/Black Friday sales and free shipping. All without leaving my desk. If I didn’t freak out at my disappearing bank balance and swear off looking at all other sites, I probably would have spent more at Victoria’s Secret and Express. In my defense a lot of the spending was on suit separates for interview season, so it’s more like an investment than an indulgence, but it’s still shocking how easily and quickly money can just disappear like that o_O More »

Am I the only one who feels like I wasted the day and money on things I can’t account for!? I’ve been out since the butt-crack of dawn, and finally I get home to amire my spoils, yet….I have none. Granted I don’t really have to shop for that many people, but still, you’d think that with all of the shopping deals and steals out there I’d have least came home with something worthwhile right? WRONG.

So you are probably sale shopping your little heart out today, since it is THE shopping day of the year. But of all the people on your shopping list, come on, the boys are the least fun to shop for. So I have compiled a list of fun gifts that hip guys will actually use/wear. And best of all, if they don’t like it, you can use/wear it yourself! Best of all, you can order everything online at www.starsandinfinitedarkness.com, which is one of the hippest online indie boutiques there is on the web. So sit back, relax, and whip out your plastic.

1) Steel Couture: Rubber Chainmail Cuff v08 for Men- $52 This is an edgy cuff for guys who like some accessories. It is 130 industrial strength rubber and steel rings woven together for a manly look. But I’d still wear it! More »

I always had this thing about tea sets. Something about them strike me as pretty and elegant. Strangely enough, even though I grew up in Asia, I was more fascinated by the western-style tea sets. Those gorgeous garden parties I see in Victorian era must indicate that not only was I British in my past life, but I came from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Or something like that. Now that I’m older, I also find myself liking the Asian tea sets as well. Every time I go to one of those stores that sells Korean pottery and whatnot, I look at the tea sets and muse on which one I’d like to buy in the future. Anyway, here are some tea sets I found on the net that I think are really prettyful. More »

There hasn’t been much playing the past few days since my RAF (Recruit A Friend) partner has been MIA which is fine because it gave me a little more time to actually play and learn instead of follow.

1: I learned that leveling sucks especially without your RAF partner. I’ve always hated grinding but after playing for 3+ hours only to get one level only reinforce it.

2: Guys talk about girls too much. You either like them or you don’t. Life would be easier for all us girls if you just picked.

3: I hate PKs (player kill). While I was questing, this asshole was camping on one area PKing everyone that came by.

4: I walk more in WoW than I have my entire life. It’s a shame because I could use the exercise.

5: The game isn’t fun at all without friends. Most of the time spent between Wednesday and Thursday was spent questing alone until my friends helped me out then the party got started. Shout out to Xorsyst for switching servers for me. <3

Even though it sounds like I’m ranting, I’m actually having a lot of fun. Reconnecting with old friend ftfw. Btw for those of you who keep asking, I’m on Frostwolf Horde currently level 28 Blood Elf Rogue.

Aside from that, my friend Nubs (day 4) made a new video that just as cheesy as the first. Take a look after the jump:

I’m not a big Thanksgiving fan, in fact I can’t remember the last time I celebrated the holiday with my family. However I am a big fan of other holidays and do make the effort to spread the spirit as much as possible.

They only come once a year so might as well make it worthwhile. More »

I was in Washington Park at the time, walking to a party from dinner. Completely stuffed, I had to sit my butt down on a park bench. I then noticed the Chrysler building was covered by fog. I thought it was a really cool scene so I snapped a picture. The fog got lower as the night went on which was kind of creepy. I hope no planes were flying that night.

I love NY at night, even if it is a bit creepy. The night was really nice with the decent weather. It was unfortunate that I later got sick that night due to bad food at Mckie D’s.

In my last post I mourned the death of my purple Nokia 5300. But now I’m eagerly awaiting my white Google G1 Phone! It took a while to decide on but now that I have I’m really happy =)

I have to admit it’s costing me a fortune - $215 with a two-year extension of my T-mobile contract ($179 plus upgrade fee and taxes), and it’s an extra $25 a month to operate the thing - but we’re talking about a touch screen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, internet on the go, all my favorite google gadgets, GPS, music player, video, camera, and of course a deliciously cute and sleek design.

There are a bunch of other features but one I’m particularly interested in trying out is this application that allows you to scan barcodes and do price comparison shopping on your phone so that you don’t have to buy stuff full-price in the store. Budget Shopping Tip #7? It’s up for review as soon as I get my hands on it ;) More »

This was the first time I made it through an instance (dungeon). I leveled a bit (23 – 26) and got to spend some time with my old friends from Korea in the process.

Most of them haven’t changed since I left (2 years ago) which I guess is a good thing. One of them (Deiru) had a birthday earlier this month (he’s 20). And since he’s such a cool guy, one of my friends (Nub) made a video/song for him.

It’s honestly the stupidest song I’ve ever heard (with Because I Got High in 2nd), but it is funny. He made a full 4 minute video/song about Deiru and WoW with him dancing throughout. I’m worried how he’ll make it through college. You can watch the video after the jump.

But lesson learned, it’s good to have friends. They’ve been helping me out this whole time. Hopefully I’ll get to put in some real game time tonight. Wewt.

Last night on Paris Hilton My New BFF, the girls were put to the test on their creativity and style. They had to direct a photo shoot for Paris that consisted of high fashion and a pain in the ass photographer. All the girls did well but Vanessa ended up winning despite that she seemed like a stalker throughout the whole shoot.

Next the girls were put on radio with Ryan Seacrest. Each of the girls was questioned by Ryan where he then gave his insight to Paris. Basically it was things we already knew so I wouldn’t call it much of an insight.

Wanting to get to know their true colors better, Paris tested them again by pretending to kick each one of them off the show. Talk about harsh. Vanessa obviously cried, Brittany was hurt, Corrie was sad but was happy to go home and Shelly said it was just fate (but really you could tell she was hurt).

This then put the girls through real elimination where two people were eliminated: Shelly for seeming like she didn’t care and Corrie for being self indulgent. Finally for Corrie! I’m sad that Shelly was kicked off. I honestly had hopped Vanessa would be because she’s really starting to creep me out.

In honor of the upcoming “giving season”, I present to you the most charitable little boy ever. I saw this video today and was so blown away at the last wish by this 11 year old with lukemia and 2 weeks to live. He just wanted to feed the homeless. No meeting basketball stars, or rockstars, or anything superficial, just to feed the hungry. Serious, probably when I was 11 I would have rather met Shannon Miller or Kim Zmeskal (old school olympic gymnasts) than feed the hungry. Now try not to cry when you watch this video. Hime in Japanese means princess and is one of the many fashion trends in Japan.

Himegyaru is inspired by the old Victorian style royalty and idols like Marie Antoinette and Paris Hilton. The style is typically pink and/or white with adornments like bows, flowers and ribbons. You’ll mainly the style in only knee high dresses with heels, jewelry and a head piece. Also big curly hair (usually blonde) is typical. More »

LOL “food stuffs.” I love that phrase. Anywho, since tomorrow is the big Turkey Day, I thought, why not talk about my favorite Thanksgiving foods. Since I don’t eat meat, I’m all about the yummy side dishes…but then again, now that I think about it; even when I did eat meat it was ALL about the side dishes. Am I the only one who thinks the side dishes don’t get shown enough love? I mean, yeah sure the turkey is the center piece, but without the supporting cast he’s just a dead bird right? LOL anway, check out what I’m looking forward to tomorrow night. More »

Today I attended WoW 101 since I’ve only played a handful of days in total (I’m newb yes). My friend Deiru introduced me to addons like QuestHelper and Cartographer which change your interface in the game and help better your experience. Totally worth it btw.

Aside from interface, the game could use a couple upgrades. For starters, I wish I could edit the default interface without having to use addons, it would be helpful if they showed the agro circle on the mini map and auto positioning. I’m not trying to complain about a free game but a few touch up here and there would nice.

Now having played a decent amount of time (12 hours across 3 days), the game reminded me a lot of my first MMO Ultima Online (UO) which is also the basis of most modern MMOs. The way you have to play WoW in addition to other aspects like profession, culture, etc. resembles a lot of UO. Not that it’s a bad thing but it does bring back memories.

Anyways, I’m now level 23 hoping to get to 30 by tonight so I can have the ability to mount animals versus walking everywhere. Dear god do you walk a lot. I kind of wish I was in game that way I could lose some weight while playing. /Dreams. More »

Last month, Ming blogged about girly iGoogle themes. Today, I’ll talk about my favourite iGoogle gadgets and news stuff I like to keep up with. Until iGoogle came around, I never really cared for having a “home page”. I remember trying to use Yahoo’s one years ago, but I couldn’t get into it. Now, though, iGoogle’s my god. I cannot imagine my internet life without it now. My only problem is trying to remember to look at all three of my sections instead of just the main one. I know the simple solution to that is to put all of my stuff on a single page, but that will get too cluttered and too complicated for me! Without further ado, here are my favourites. More »

This is the coolest Mario t-shirt I’ve seen. Although it’s a bit cheesy I’m more than happy to shell out a twenty to have this in my wardrobe.

80stees.com is supported by now retired Yankee pitcher Mike Mussina. He claims he thought the idea was funny and it is. The site features a variety of 80’s t-shirts that’ll make you nostalgic and laugh.

The site flaunts a crappy design but it’s what’s on the inside that counts right?

That’s what Shana Victor, the woman behind Shana Logic wants you to do. Why? Because indie is where it’s at. Seriously. How else can you find some of the coolest, most creative and individual clothing and accessories out there?! Created as an alternative to shoping at mass product retail stores, Shana Logic offers cool crafts created by cooler artists all in one place! I’m talking everything from makeup to prints, to clothing and jewelry! Some of this stuff is too cute for words!
