With the New Year coming up right around the corner, some of you may be looking for something to do, other than trying to get into some mega expensive party thrown by your favorite radio station. Or maybe you’re new to The City and you wanna know where all the cool places to hang out are, and meet some really cool people. OOOR you’re just a club/culture/museum/arts/music/insert fun thing here junkie. Well no problem!

Head over to Going where you can always find something to do and people to do it with! Just creat your profile, and then browse through the tons of interesting events going on and all of the people who you just might run into while there! It’s such a cool networking tool, because instead of like Myspace or Facebook, you’re not just sitting behind some screen all night “poking” your friends or leaving “JUST STOPPING BY” glitter comments. Your actually going out and meeting them, making new friends and just having fun!

What I find so interesting about Going is that they’ve got almost any event you can think of for any price range. Especially if you’re worried about your bank account and spending money frivolously, but you still wanna have fun, just go to the Browse Events tab and adjust the price slider to “FREE” and it lists all of the awesome stuff you can do without spending a dime! And what’s even better is they have a Recession Buster that lists all of the specials, and reduced prices for these economically challenged times! They’ve also got this little “rank” box where you can view members pictures of events and rate it “cool”, “wtf”, “sexy” or “next” LOL it’s fun to look at, and some of the photography is really awesome!
