A supposed 22 year old wanted to piss every girl off in the world by showing that she can look 7 years old.
She definitely pulled off the look thanks to the clothing and makup. Setting that aside, there is speculation that she used photoshop and had surgery done which is probably true.
While I am a bit envious, who would want to look 7 at 22? Me of course!

Here’s where it starts to get tricky. Finding shoes that are cute and durable for under 10 bucks is tough..especially since you want quality, because well, they’re gonna get some wear, and they need to last. For that reason, I think we’re gonna cheat on this one: while we’re still on our 10 for 10 scavenger hunt, how about for footwear, we try and stay under 20 bucks? That way, we can still find cute shoes, but still have some money in our wallets. Face it, there’ll come the day when dropping $200 + on shoes won’t even phase us, but for now, we shall improvise. Ok seriously that’s what it looks like to me… fuzzy floppy neon-colored bunny hats!
I’m procrastinating during midterm season by watching the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week channel on Youtube and the Michael Kors Fall 2009 Collection definitely made me LOL. The sheer elegance and beautiful cuts of some of his pieces is totally offset by these ridiculous (albeit ridiculously-comfortable looking) neon-colored winter sets. It’s literally like oh sexy little black dress number one with structural sleeves one shoulder sleeves and then BAM — hideous bright orange fur coat. More lovely little black numbers and sleek elegant grey suit dresses and then BAM — a random fuzzy floppy bunny hat combined with huge black aviators. By the time you get to the bright pinks, it’s actually really hilarious and I’m kind of in love. More »

For those of you always on the go, you probably never have time to do your hair. I hate when that happens to me so when TotalBeauty put the up the list of “17 Hairstyles That Take Less Than 10 Minutes”, I was thrilled.
Most the hairstyles are very cute while others are generic. My personal favorites are “The Audrey”, “High-Volume Pony”, “Hello, Sailor”, and “Vintage Vamp”. All of which seem easy to do and look classy.

The new crop of spoiled rich kids are the fashion editors darlings. Despite their well-connected parents and supermodel/It girl friends, I do like their designs. Here are the 4 hottest young NY designers (although Rodarte live in California). Here are the highlights from their Fall 2009 Collections. More »

Okay, so I didn’t actually watch the Oscars last night, but I did keep up on the fashion the talented and gorgeous were wearing. Most of the press liked only the safe, commercial looks, but I disagree. So here are my personal picks for best and worst dressed of the 2009 Oscars.
Best 1) Reese Witherspoon in Rodarte
I love chocolate but not so much beer; however, for this I’ll make an exception.
Well respected Japanese brands Sapporo Brewery and Royce Confect Co. have joined forces to create chocolate beer”. From what I’ve heard, it tastes really good despite being such an odd combo.
Haven’t tried it myself but I’m dying to.

Staying up late at night working has forced me to watch infomercials like this one for “Strap Perfect”. For those of you who get bugged about your straps, well now there’s a solution.
This magical plastic circle allows you to hide your straps. You basically tuck your straps into the tabs and adjust as needed to hide them. In addition, your boobs will look more perky. Yey~! As cheesy as it sounds, it’s probably more useful than the “Flirty Girl Fitness Boutique”.
However, you could probably save yourself the $20 and just use a safety pin.
Oops. I completely forgot to do last week’s Fab Faves entry. I’m surprised Lan didn’t come after me with a stick, haha. At least I didn’t forget this week’s entry!
Anyway, yes, I’m aware it’s still winter. But one of my friend suggested ice cream, and the idea stuck, haha! Then again, eating ice cream isn’t so bad when you’re indoors! I love ice cream. I especially like it as milkshake. But I am picky about the flavours. Here are the ones I like. More »

Continuing on with our little bargain-shopping-fun, I think we should move on to accessories! Accessories are great because they can make any old outfit you have in your closet look totally different. Add a belt here, or a brooch there and viola! You’ve just spiced up an outfit you were so ready to move on from! With that in mind, lets see if we can find 10 accessories, under 10 bucks to help you look a perfect 10! (sorry, I couldn’t help it lol) More »

The Historic Hudson Theatre was packed with models, photographers, fashion designers, editors, and fashionistas on Tuesday night. The occasion was Twenty Five The Show. The GIDC and Showroom NY celebrated the 25th anniversary of the GIDC with a massive runway show, complete with 15 designers and 75 looks. I sent down 5 fierce models in my latest collection, Words Left Unspoken Fall 2009 Collection. Here are some pics from the show. More »

I finally got around to playing with some of my high school friends, Fayt and Devilwind. These are the same guys that helped me out in the beginning.
While we’re idling about, they started to show off their identical armor and mounts (animals you ride). It was so cute as to how many things they had together that you could almost excuse them for gay lovers. (joking!) Or maybe just BFFs which then are. More »

With it becoming more and more difficult to look cute on a budget, I thought why not compile a list of a few things that can aid in our quest for cuteness, but still play nice with our wallets. There are lots of products out there that are budget friendly, but many times you gotta search for them. Don’t be afraid of the clearance racks and bargain bins, because that’s where all of the hidden gems are! How about we start with the Beauty Products! We all know, for the most part, having the right beauty product (or lack thereof) can make or break your outfit. If you’re all dolled up but your hair is looking kuh-ray-zee it can totally kill everything you spent hours on perfecting. We also know something as simple as a swipe of mascara and some lip gloss can cutie-fy anything, including sweats. With that being said, lets get started on my first set of 10 items under 10 dollars! Life is fantastic when you’re plastic. Barbie mania was all over Bryant Park Saturday afternoon. Seriously, it was insane! I tried to get into the show, but it was overbooked and they were turning people away. The Tent was at capacity and they wouldn’t even let anyone inside the tents! Crazy! But I hear it was one amazing show and the pics prove it. Ms. Barbie celebrates her 50th birthday this year (I know, what a good looking granny!) so the CFDA honored her with a runway show. America’s top designers made life-size Barbie outfits for the show. The Barbie theme extended into the center of the tents with a huge BARBIE art installation, complete with hundreds are real barbie dolls and life-size mannequin Barbies. Check out the living dolls below. More »

I LOVE Miss Sixty! I always have loved their clothes and their shows are always celebrity-clad rock concerts. They rocked it ’80s style in the Tent at Bryant Park on Sunday night. So I only got back row seats, but still the show and the clothes rocked. Miss Jessica Stam was strutting on the stage, while Coco Rocha was front row making faces at Stam and causing her to lose her focus and smirk and stick out her tongue on the runway (that’s the rumor going around anyways). Back to the clothes: loved the topstitched leather jackets and even the leather booty shorts. not so loved: dropped crotch pants. They just aren’t flattering. Seriously, the jackets were amazing and the strong shoulders were great. Lots of black and some graffiti print party dresses. It was a rockin’ good time. I so loved the “Sheena is a Punk Rocker” cover to end the show. Here are some looks from the show. More »

ADAM was all lovey dovey last Saturday, with the Valentine’s themed gift bag I scored in my prime front and center row seats. Yep, I scored front row seats! Gift bag contents included a cute red paper origami heart and a Love is Blind white pima cotton tee, a few sizes too big for me. The show was okay, but not mind-blowing. i liked the sequin mini-dress (see below) and the flowy fuchsia suit. There were a lot of silk charmeuse flowy pajama pants, which looked okay on the models, but probably not so hot on a normal person. Also, a lot of silk dolman tops with maroon tights and high heel colored suede booties. The makeup was upbeat and fun, but not very Fall. It was a shimmering rainbow of pinks, blues, whites starting at the upper cheek bone, right below the eye. Check out my fave looks from the show. More »

The first thing I thought when watching the “Smoke and Mirrors” Monarchy Collection Fall 2009 Show was: “Omg, British invasion!”
My first clue came when the Promenade at Bryant Park was filled with a blaring British hipster techno mix that I could have sworn was Franz Ferdinand. As the models walked the runway in alternating guy-girl looks, the persistent use of bowler hats, leather riding boots, equestrian plumed riding hats, tailored coats and trousers, and many other tropes made me think constantly of polo players hailing from rainy aristocratic Great Britain. And of course the frequent use of plaid struck me as very Scottish. More »

You girls are probably all thinking this is a guy’s game but in reality, every girl I’ve talked to who plays has enjoyed the game or became addicted (one of my girlfriends became so addicted that she ended up with carpal tunnel). So don’t be so quick to judge. I know it’s not made for everyone, but it is fun! I have to admit I didn’t like it at first but now I’m always searching for time to play. More »
