Life is fantastic when you’re plastic. Barbie mania was all over Bryant Park Saturday afternoon. Seriously, it was insane! I tried to get into the show, but it was overbooked and they were turning people away. The Tent was at capacity and they wouldn’t even let anyone inside the tents! Crazy! But I hear it was one amazing show and the pics prove it. Ms. Barbie celebrates her 50th birthday this year (I know, what a good looking granny!) so the CFDA honored her with a runway show. America’s top designers made life-size Barbie outfits for the show. The Barbie theme extended into the center of the tents with a huge BARBIE art installation, complete with hundreds are real barbie dolls and life-size mannequin Barbies.
