If you’ve seen the movie “Slumdog Millionaire” then the title “Jai Ho” should sound familiar. It’s not only a catchy tune that won an Oscar but it was covered by the sexy Pussycat Dolls.
Honestly, I didn’t expect the song to go so well with PCD but of course Nicole has skills. I’ve actually had the song playing for awhile now and I’m quite impressed with this cover. Although the choreography doesn’t impress me like it usually does, it is worth a listen. And yes, I know it’s the original choreography. The original single; however, isn’t quite as good imo. Maybe they should have had PCD cover the song earlier for the movie? More »

In keeping with Tiffany’s and Ms. Tyra’s newfound love of short chick models, I though I would expound on the subject. Since I am only 5′1″ tall and have been made fun of for my “vertical challenged” physique, I am always proud of those shorty’s workin’ it in modeling and in everything. It just so happens that some very famous models are 5′7″ or under! Sure, they might not get as many runway jobs as their 5′10 colleagues, they are just as gorgeous, or shall I say, fierce! So here is my list of all time favorite short fashion models. More »

My mom ordered these work out DVDs by Flirty Girl and I’m gonna give them a shot. They’re geared towards women, so I’m expecting sexy yet fun workout-moves that target the bootie, and belly and arms. They’ve got actual fitness clubs in Toronto and Chicago that cover everything from jumpstyle dancing to cardio boxing, but none in The City just yet; so DVDs yay! More »

In honor of Ms. B’s tour that kicks off today and all things blingity-blang blang fierce, I present to you Sasha Fierce: Warrior Goddess. Thierry Mugler designed some bangin’ costumes for the tour which convey “the duality between being a woman and a warrior”. WWD featured some of the sketches Mugler created for Sasha Fierce (aka Beyonce) to wear on stage. Below are the sketches, and damn if she doesn’t have the most kickin’ curves I’ve ever seen! Beyonce’s stage persona is “tough, chic, superheroine who likes her power glam with a bit of froth”. Go rock on Warrior Woman and make bank like only you can: FIERCE! More »

Britney Spears is still around and this time she’s seeking Amy.
The pop diva is back again with a new music video for her single “If U Seek Amy”. I never really liked the single to begin with but she’s got some really nice red hooker heels in the video. Step aside Dorthy!
I have to give Britney props for making a successful comeback but really, couldn’t she have picked a better single? Especially one that doesn’t require a newscaster reading like the viewers were slow? More »

Spring Break!!!!! Time to go ca-razy! Well, I have never really had a proper Spring Break in my entire life, so I am going to treat myself this year to a trip to Miami! I’m so excited to get out of this 30 degree weather and lay out on the beach! I’ve never been to Miami but I’m going to rock it Will Smith style circa 1996. Party in the city where the heat is on, all night on the beach till the break of dawn! More »

So Lan went and got a new hair colour. I decided to do so, too. Sort of. I decided to get my hair highlighted, and it came out blonde. I have nothing against it. In fact, I’m really happy with the results since some of my previous highlighting jobs turned out to the point that the highlights had no contrast! However, this job came out with more contrast I expected. So contrasting, that I’m practically a blonde, now, hahaha! Not really, but I sort of feel like it. More »

So last night I got to test run my stripper shoes and I also decided I’d switch up my look from wild playful curls to a sleek straight style. What’s even better is I got to test run both at Se7en’s party at Circle with Ningin Fam’s Mia, David, and my home girl Christina, who DJ’s for Soompi Radio Club. I gotta say I’ve got sorta a mixed feeling about my hair and I’m still in love with my shoes. Check it: More »

If you thought she was dead, she might as well have been. Let’s face it, her entire career is a joke and out the door. But Fornarina didn’t get the memo.
Fashion line Fornarina made Lohan the face of their company recently. While its good to hear she still has a job, they didn’t exactly flatter her either. Lohan appeared in one of their commercials spitting out random vocabulary while being surrounded by bad 80’s music and cheesy graphics. The photoshoot went a little better but there’s only one photo in the gallery of the world’s slowest website that is Fornarina. More »

This Baikal seal is named Billy from the Hakone-en Aquarium in the Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.
In Japan, it’s common to take a hot spring bath with a towel on your head and a tub with a sake (alcohol) bottle inside, which is just what the seal is doing. He puts on this performance everyday including weekends and holidays.
I was hoping it was just one of those wacky things animals do but it’s close enough!

Seriously. How awesome are her space-agey designs? I’m not even really sure how I came across her work, but ever since catching a look at one of her hoodies I’ve been obsessed [obsessed, I tell you] with her clothing line. Talk about fashion forcasting, I found out that many of the designs I like the most are probably one or two years old…and what’s crazy is that they look so current, and even futuristic that it’s hard to believe she didn’t teleport from fall 2015. Your feet go through a lot. You use and abuse your feet everyday, from pounding the pavement to cramming your tootsies into poorly made knock offs 1/2 size too small. So this Spring it’s time to treat your feet with a pair or two from the amazing luxury shoe line Omelle (pronounced ahm’elle). Okay, so at $600-$1000 a pair, I won’t be walking the catwalk in Omelle any time soon, but I so wish I could! Seriously, I’m in love. Check out the line at www.omelle.com. More »

The last few days I’ve gone all out with chick flick catch up and my obsession with Mr. Darcy by watching Bridget Jones’s Diary, Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason, and Pride and Prejudice (not the BBC version since I don’t have that much time to waste over Spring Break).
This got me thinking: which Mr. Darcy would you rather have? Mark Darcy or Fitzwilliam Darcy? If you’ve forgotten who’s who, here’s a brief refresher: More »

If you’ve been watching this season’s ANTM, then I’m sure you’ve seen the casting call Tyra has set out for girls 5′7″ and under for Cycle 13. I say it’s about time because while yes, for the most part models are glamazons; there are a lot of petite models out there who can work it just as fiercly. If you think you got what it takes and you’re 5′7″ and under, give it a shot! More »

Finally after 20 years of no management, I got my eyebrows threaded. Let’s just say it hurt like no other.
They say threading is the easier and painless, they’re wrong! Well half wrong at least. It was easier and faster than tweezers but for my first time ever it was quite painful. It also left me with a few battle scars. Nonetheless, I didn’t expect my first time to be easy breezy but my eyebrows do look awesome.

Back in the day, I use to dye my hair every color under the sun, but stopped after I realized my hair was about fall off my head. Now; however, I’m back in the game.
I recently dyed my hair dark brown with blonde highlights. While its only as good as a DIY hair dye kit can get, I still love it. I actually feel more confident now (no idea why) which makes me wonder, does this happen for everyone? Is changing something about yourself good for yourself?
