What is it about pretty boys that drive some girls wild? I don’t mean pretty boys of the Gossip Girl type, I’m talking about those guys who actually get mistaken for women. They’re kinda rare in the American entertainment biz, since macho is revered, but in some places like Japan and Korea….it’s like the girlier the better. I listen to a lot of A-pop and I tend to watch a lot of K-dramas and J-movies, so I’ve noticed this a lot….and one of my friends seems to LOVE guys who look like girls. Personally I’d take a manly man over a girl-esque guy any day. More »

As if there wasn’t enough Hello Kitty!
Hau Sheng Hospital in Yuanlin, Taiwan has recently built a hospital completely themed with Hello Kitty. And when I say completely, I mean everything little thing. From linen to furniture to uniforms, this little 30 bed hospital is decked out in pink. More importantly everyone loves it including Japanese Vogue who put them on the cover.
If Hello Kitty ever ran for president, we would all be forced to wear pink. Not that I’m complaining.

Then I’ve got the site for you. LOOKBOOK is probably the world’s largest well…look book filled with images of real fashion, from real people, the world over. I’m talking style for DAYS. If you follow fashion blogs like The Satorialist, or if you’re an addict to StyleHive you’ll LOVE this place. It’s genius, I tell you. You know, it’s really cool to actually see the trends as they are on the trendsetters before they’re even trends. More »

I thought this was rather cool. A New Zealand woman named Nadya Vessey had a prostetic set of mermaid flippers made so that she could become a mermaid. No, she’s not crazy. In fact she’s rather creative and cool! She had them made by the special effects company Weta Workshop, the company that gave us the special effects in Chronicles of Narnia. Why would she do such a thing if she’s not bonkers? Well, she was born with a condition that caused her legs not to grow properly and once she reached her teens, she had to have them amputated. Fast forward to the present, and Nadya, in one of the most creative ways I’ve heard of is trying to tell a little boy who saw her at the beach taking off her prostetics. He asked her why she’s got prostectic legs instead of legs like his, and she told him she’s a mermaid! More »
