I’m having a hard time imaging the possible uses? Is there a strip bar somewhere in Japan where the strippers wear theses? Are there people with actual Hello Kitty fetishes? I really can’t imagine… Hello Kitty race cars, Hello Kitty beers, even Hello Kitty condoms, but this? To each their own I guess… More »

At first I thought there were some waffle-like cupcake. Sadly no, they’re knitted! But if you’re like me, I have a hard time eating really cute-looking food because they’re too cute. Though I bet it wouldn’t be too hard to make these for real using some cake decorations! More »

I can already foresee this being a regular series. Our Asian fanatics readers would recognize these oh so pretty boys from the popular KPOP group SHINee. (For some reason I feel like watching Twilight right now.) I don’t know if it’s the hair, the pose, the face, or the fact that they’re all cuddling in bed together, but I’m very drawn to this photo. With all of that in the photo and their naturally light skin, my brain is interpreting them as angels. And maybe there are. Vogue really has the best photographers in the world. More »

There’s just something about the egg shape with it’s seemingly perfect contours. Have you ever tried to break an egg by putting it in the palm of your hand and trying to crush it as hard as you can? You can’t! Well I’m guessing that’s why the Japanese company Elecom created these USB egg mouse. The website is in Japanese and I’m not fluent, but one would think these mouse would have some sort of benefit for wrist pain and stuff. Plus they’re available in a multitude of colors. More »

Free stuff alert! Someone was kind enough to upload these adorable little Japanese Kokeshi doll vectors for people to use. Their kimonos are so cute aren’t they? Vectors are cooler than normal images because you can resize them indefinitely and it won’t look pixelated. If anyone uses these in a website or an artwork please let me know! You can download them from Vecteezy. More »

Omg if these were real dolls, there would mass hysteria trying to collect them all. I’m talking about the little fellow from the Sony PS3 game, Little Big Planet. In this game you can create virtually an infinite amount of characters, clothes, environments, and on and on. This is the Ghost Buster mod. Makes me wish I had a PS3 so I could play around with them ^^ More »

Lately I’ve had such a craving for desserts. This always happens to me around the summer. But as you all probably know desserts can be a hassle to make. I definitely can’t stand being in a hot kitchen during the summer. So I spent last night looking for some easy to make desserts that are also light and pretty to look at. Pretty food just tastes better, everyone knows that!

It turns out that babies are more than just the spitting, burping, pooping machine that like to wake up parents in the early mornings. According to an article in the Times Online, you have an 88% chance of getting your wallet back if you have a baby picture inside. This is versus 15% if you have nothing but your ID in it. Of course the research is far from conclusive, but it makes sense to me. Babies are just one of those things that make human show their kindness. Me, I’ll always try to return the wallets I find. It’s just good karma! More »

“A specially trained squad of guinea pigs is dispatched to stop a diabolical billionaire from taking over the world.” Does this sound like a movie you would want to see? Me, the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES! It has B-movie comedy written all over it. Really, you had me at specially trained squad of guinea pigs. The G-Force movie comes out in theaters across the US on Friday July 24th. I guess I know what I’m doing that night ^^ More »

I’ve been kinda on this search for the next laptop of mine. My old Dell is a few years old now and it’s only fitting that I get something super kawaii to go with my new job of blogging for Girlybubble. Sanrio, slave driver of the Hello Kitty trademark, does not disappoint. A simple Google search shows at least six variations of a Hello Kitty laptop! Each seem to be around $1500 hundred and only sold in limited numbers. This feels like an impulse buy so I guess I’ll wait till Girlybubble becomes more popular… More photos after the jump. More »

This is probably the prettiest garden you’ll ever have. All the “flowers” are made of steel, solar panels, batteries and, Hebron glass. During the day the sun charges the batteries via the solar panels, and during the night is when the flowers “bloom” or show off their beautiful petals. Unfortunately, this is only in Jerusalem so you have to fly half way around the world to seem them in person. I would go if I was rich and had the time ^^ More »

AKB48 is this JPOP band that has 48 female members! It’s more accurate to say that it’s three groups in one with each suppose to have 16 members. 16 x 3 = 48. Each group is designated Team A, Team K, and Team B. Hence the name AKB48. That isn’t the interesting part. This idol group also does theater shows once a week. I kid you not! And of course their poster is sooooo kawaii! Youtube videos after the jump. More »

To me this photo is truly worth a thousand words. When you give a ring to someone in marriage, it becomes this compact little symbol for the many things that words can’t express and the lifetime of memories yet to be shared. Even more importantly it’s a symbol of love and this photo does an amazing job of bringing that out. More after the break. More »

My boyfriend always tells me that I shouldn’t add too many plugins to my Firefox browser because it slows down web-surfing and possible crash your computer. It looks like the Firefox in the picture is learning the hard way… More »

I’ve been falling in love with the Scribblenauts Nintendo DS game even though it doesn’t come out yet. (Scheduled release date is Sept 2009). It’s one of those side-scrolling puzzle games where you have to draw your way to progress in the game. The animation and characters are just so darn cute! You can read more about it on the game’s website or Wikipedia page. More »

What do you get when you combine origami, Hello Kitty, and Nintendo? A Hello Kitty with Mario clothing made out of paper. Duh, it’s in the photo! There’s instructions and a template if you click through to the Nintendo Papercraft site. More »

As I was saying over on my Ningin column, Netbooks are all the rage now. They’re cheap, ultra-portable, and so much cuter than old-school laptops! It was only a matter of time before some company in Japan going to combine ultra-portable and ultra-cute. The first offspring of which is this RilakKuma (Japanese for relax bear) model by Bandai. They forgot the cheap part by selling it for $800 US. Oh well, I’ll wait a year or two then ^^ More »

This poor little British kitten was just trying to escape the summer heat…by crawling into a washing machine!! The owner, not knowing to always check the washing machine for kittens before using it, wash the kitten with his clothes. It’s a small miracle the kitty survived a full wash. Good thing he wasn’t doing his whites with bleach… More »

…I don’t know that for sure, but why else would an innocent kitty sucker punch that mean dog?! At least i think that’s a mean dog and an innocent kitty… More »
