The Dailyfill put together a list of the 10 Most Unrealistic Romances in Summer Movies. Some of the included movies, Leo and Kate in Titanic, Drew and Adam in 50 First Dates, and Jason and Mila in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The first time reading the list, I didn’t think much of it. But then it occurred to me that finding love in general is somewhat unrealistic. When you think about all the people you meet in life and only falling in love a small handful of times, I would say that everything about love is improbable. You almost need some crazy type of chance encounter romance for the love to stick. So I don’t think these movie romance plots are as unrealistic as the many “how did you guys meet” stories that my friends have.

I actually think most of these romances do happen in real life. I think the writer of the article is being unrealistic to a point. It may not be those exact instances but if one replace the main issue(s) that the couple has to go through, it is that situation.
