Remember that popular New Order song from the 80s about coffee, milk and sugar? It went something like this: “Every time I see coffee fallin, I get down on my knees and pray. I’m waiting for that final moment you, say the words that sugar or milk can’t say.” Hsinping’s got a super cute pin set that pays tribute to that epic 80s song. Okay, fine. I lied, there’s no such song. But there is indeed a love triangle that exists between coffee, milk and sugar. It says so on the packaging. More »

What could be more irresistibly cute than geeky twins sporting T-shirts with copy and paste shortcuts? Nothing really. Nothing. More »

I know what you’re thinking. Green cocktails, Jinra? Really, Jinra? The Green Goblin isn’t the most girly-sounding cocktail drink out there but trust me — I’ve scoured the ends of the Internet world to bring you the most girly Halloween cocktail drink I could find. And it happens to be green, and sweet just like you. Surpisingly, goblin is not required to make the Green Goblin. More »

So, it’s not obvious that I’m a sucker for teen dramas, right? I mean, it’s not like anyone could tell with the way I’ve already featured Ed Westwick or Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl and Lee Min Ho from Boys Over Flowers. Okay, fine. So it’s obvious like oreo cookies stuck in the mouth of someone with braces. Don’t be surprised or anything, but this week’s Cute Boy of the Week is Luke Pasqualino from my favorite controversial British teen…drama, Skins. More »

Don’t call Kate Nash ‘Lily Allen’ because, well…she’s not Lily Allen. For one, Lily Allen isn’t this week’s Cute Girl of the Week, Kate Nash is. If you find yourself confusing the two, don’t worry - it’s pretty common, so I’ll set the record straight. The biggest difference between the two British singer-songwriters, aside from style (both musically and fashionably-speaking), is that Lily Allen isn’t as consistently cute as Kate Nash. More »

There really has to be something to be said about irony being one of the core reasons why Japanese kawaii works. Take this week’s Toy Tuesday pick, Gloomy Bear Dunny. On first glance, you think, “OMG SO CUTE IT’S PINK WITH BEADY EYES LIKE HELLO KITTY!!!” and then you realize that it has blood dribbling down its mouth to its stomach. Upon that realization, do you find yourself deterred from its cuteness? No. More »

Why settle for dull-colored gadgets when you can have pink? These days, tech and gadget companies are releasing their products in colors other than the standard average white, black and silver. Finally, they realize that there are actually females who purchase gadgets! I’ve scoured Amazon.com for the pinkest gadgets out there for our list of Top 6 Gadgets in Pink List — in no particular order. More »

Facebook Connect is this cool feature that allows you to use your Facebook account to login and interact on all sites within the Mixr network. To put that in another way, all Mixr sites are connected via a common login and now you can use your Facebook account as that login. You’ll be able to comment, interact, gain EXP, invite your Facebook friends to Girlybubble, and have your activities on Girlybubble posted to your Facebook feed.

Keep in mind that this is a complex and deep integration of Facebook and the Mixr system. There might bugs every now and then so consider this Facebook integration to be in a beta stage. If you do find bugs, just fill out our contact form with as much detail as possible.

When I checked my inbox today, I had an email from converse.com about their new range of shoes, Chuck Taylor All Star Sequins. I wasn’t alive during the 80’s but some of you may have been and might appreciate these Chuck Taylor shoes. More »

What’s pink, has blond hair and flies? The answer is not Paris Hilton, but the Rosy Maple Moth. A moth for this week’s Cute Creature Feature, didn’t see that comin’ huh? Neither did I. I’m typically not a fan of moths and the way they like to feast on clothing. Or how they send chills down my spine with every encounter. I don’t take very well to huge furry things that fly. It’s creepy. I can, however, make exceptions for the Rosy Maple Moth. It’s small and pink, therefore, super cute! More »

It’s a universal fact that women go to crazy extremes to achieve bigger eyes; plastic surgery, eyelid tape, eyelid glue, white eyeliner, eyelash extensions, fake eyelashes and well now… LED eyelashes. The LED lashes features an “inclination sensor” with mercury that can perceive the movements of the pupil in the eyes and eyelids. If someone wears it and moves her head, the LED eyelashes will flicker following the movement. More »

Aside from telling me I’m my mother’s most beautiful daughter (her only daughter), my mother tells me she loves me often. Looking at these Japanese bento box art scans from “Waku Waku Kyaracuta No Obentou” (Exciting Character Bentos), I find this hard to believe. How can you tell your own daughter you love her, knowing full well that you sent her off to private school in the early 90s with Lunchables for lunch almost daily? More »

Kids just say the darnedest things. I especially love when they tell wild fairytales filled with carnage and fighting. When you’re a cute little French girl named Capucine with the biggest eyes I have ever seen, crazy stories just…sound better. More »

When it comes to style, there’s nothing more iconic than the bow. Hello Kitty, Lady Gaga, you on your first day of school, have all elevated the bow to its status of being the quintessential, romantic accent to any wardrobe. For busy people, it’s a god-send. Having an ugly day? Put a bow on it. If you liked it, then you should’ve put a bow on it. (Literally.) Given its recent popularity on the Chanel, Moschino, Marc Jacobs and Marchesa runways, 2009 is easily The Year of the Bow. While there’s still time left in the year, the following are my bow picks and tips: More »

Anyone have an upwards of $95 to spend on this season’s current “it” shade of nail polish? Yeah, didn’t think so. Reportedly, Chanel’s Limited Edition Jade nail polish was sold out before it hit stores last month. While I do agree that it’s a beautiful shade and it’s reminiscent of the jade bracelet I wore as a child (Asian practice for some children, yanno?), it’s certainly not worth the price when it’s actually supposed to retail at around $30 AND there are so many cheaper alternatives. Here are my picks for wallet-friendly Chanel Jade shade knock-offs: More »

It’s the golden rule of every fashionista that you should always mix tasteful vintage with modern pieces to achieve instant chic. I, for one, tend to question the notion of ‘instant chic.’ It’s not everyday I have an instant to put together an outfit that mixes vintage and modern, and I’m not one to coordinate my closet like Cher from Clueless. Vintage or thrift shopping for me is haphazard; See it, love it, buy it. Don’t even think about what modern pieces I have in my wardrobe that’ll complement my purchases. Orla Kiely’s Fall/Winter 2009 line however, combats my problem. More »

There’s probably one, and I repeat one, reason to justify continuing the overly-trendy wayfarer sunglasses trend. It’s not because you saw a pap snap up your favorite D-List celeb or because the cool kids in school are wearing wayfarers. It’s because said wayfarer shades are made by Luella (F/W 2009), they’re now on sale for $65 USD (instead of $300), they’re pink AND they have the cutest heart cut-out detailing on the sides. Given that I live in sunny Southern California and I just scratched up a pair of sunglasses, I think I need the Luella wayfarers in my life.
