Cute Girl of the Week: Zooey Deschanel

What’s so great about actress Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer, Yes Man) is that when this week passes, she’ll still be cute. For Zooey, cute lies in her style — the way she makes frocks from the 60s look as if they were custom-made today just for her. The same could be said for her hair. I don’t know any other celebrities who can pull off mod-inspired hair like she does. Currently, my hair is trying to channel Zooey Deschanel. Please take note of the use of the word “trying.”

Since I’m obviously not a celebrity with celebrity hair resources, I’m failing pretty hard. I don’t think Zooey would mind, a lot of her interviews make her out to be a very down-to-earth person who prefers staying at home to living the Hollywood fast-life. This I believe — you hardly see her snapped up by the papz. Aside from being a cute, talented down-to-earth actress, she’s also a singer and musician. She’s one half of indie band She and Him.
