Here’s an event I’d have to be sitting for/not operating heavy machinery during: The Hello Kitty “Three Apples” exhibition opening Oct. 23 at Royal/T in LA. As an exhibition held in honor of of Hello Kitty’s 35th anniversary, my inability to effectively handle cute-overload could be problematic. That’s 35 years of Hello Kitty cute-ness! I can barely handle myself being so cute, and I’m only 24.
If you’re still not over the part about the exhibition being multi-dimensional, let me break it down for you. Three Apples will consist of artwork from 80+ contemporary artists and Hello Kitty enthusiasts, a Hello Kitty apartment, unique product and design displays, a pop-up shop and special events for fans of all ages – all celebrating Hello Kitty! Best of all, it’s free and open to the public. A portion of the proceeds from any artwork purchased from the exhibition will be given to charity.
The exhibition is curated by Jamie Rivadeneira, owner of Japanese pop-culture shop in Los Angeles, JAPAN LA. For more details on the Three Apples exhibition’s opening art show and other Three Apples’ events, go here.
