Hello Kitty Special: The Ultimate Guide to Hello Kitty’s Posse

Hello Kitty’s universal popularity exists on levels you and I cannot comprehend. I really want to say that this is because there’s some sort of underlying complex issue that can’t be fathomed, but I have a big feeling it’s largely because of her connections. Let’s face it — Hello Kitty’s kind of a big deal. People know her. To be considered popular, one must have a big posse. This applies to Hello Kitty. To better understand her popularity, I’ve put together The Ultimate Guide to Hello Kitty’s Posse.

Tippy - Tippy is your average fairytale, nursery rhyme-kind of bear. He’s warm, fuzzy, there when you need him…an all around reliable friend. Various sources on the Internet claim that he’s been wanting to get into Hello Kitty’s pants for awhile. I’m not surprised. I mean, the only images you see are of him on his badass bicycle — desperate much?

Cathy - Known as the “quiet one,” Cathy is one of Hello Kitty’s most trusted friends. Allegedly, she puts the interests of others before herself. There isn’t any dirt on Cathy, so I’m convinced she’s a legit Hello Kitty friend.

Joey - Believe it or not, this mouse happens to be the most athletic friend Hello Kitty knows. Joey’s popularity is largely founded on his wit, charm and athletic abilities. Who doesn’t have one of Joey in their circle of friends? For sure, my circle of friends is nothing but Joeys. (Just kidding.)

Jodie - Every posse has a resident brain. Jodie is Hello Kitty’s smartest friend who aspires to be a researcher. Researcher of what? No one knows. Hopefully a researcher of cuteness.

Fifi - Just as every posse has a resident brain, Hello Kitty has a resident bad girl, Fifi. Think of her as Nicole Richie to Paris Hilton before Nicole got knocked up. Sources say Fifi doesn’t know “the exact meaning of time out.”

Tracy - Tracy is yet another friend of mischief and trouble making. He is a raccoon after all. I’m sure he’s great friends with Fifi.

Tiny Chum - Tiny Chum to Hello Kitty is the younger, teddy bear-sibling she’s never had. Allegedly, Tiny Chum is like family to Hello Kitty and Mimmy, Hello Kitty’s sister.

Rory - Rory is something of a shady character. Descriptions everywhere cite that Rory is a “special squirrel who teaches Hello Kitty the secrets of the forrest.” WHAT SECRETS?! What are they keeping from us? I’m starting to believe that Hello Kitty and her posse are up to more than just being cute friends.

Mory - Mory is the least understood Hello Kitty friend of all. This is just a guess, but I think it’s because Mory is a mole. Moles tend to stay underground. Naturally, not much is known about Mory besides the fact that he’s shy. Which makes sense, I suppose.

Tim and Tammy - Yet another mischievous, fun-loving duo. Hello Kitty sure likes to hang with party animals. All this time, judging by her composed demeanor, I always thought she was a tame kitty. I had no idea she was wild.
