And yet another reason has been made known to me why New York City is so much cooler than where I live now. Apparently, retailers spend tons of money on store displays and it’s quite the big deal there. In Southern California, window displays are more of an afterthought. This is largely because walking is deemed a highly offensive crime. Well, not really — people spend more time in their cars than anything else. Thus, the window displays of most stores in Southern California aren’t as decadently cute as the one pictured. Judging by the display for Lord and Taylor, I guess Christmas is coming soon? If so, I’d like to live in that display. You can hardly tell that Christmas is around the corner where I live!

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t made from food :P
Don’t mind us Hoc, we both come from the land of the Orange County. We don’t know much about window displays.

I really thought it was a gingerbread house when I first looked at it. LOL
