Okay, fine. I lied. I met Lady Gaga’s famed Hello Kitty plush toy dress that she wore with anime eyes for the recent Marcus Klinko and Indrani photoshoot. To me, this is almost just as good as meeting my queen, Lady Gaga in the flesh. Before you get curious, the answer is no. No, I did not raid Lady Gaga’s wardrobe, nor was Lady Gaga harmed in the process of me encountering her Hello Kitty dress in the flesh. It’s a fact, some people can whistle, some people can’t. Is it genetic? Who knows. All I know is that whistling is especially cute when cute animals do it that aren’t birds. No offense to birds or anything. I think you’re cute and all, but whistling for you is just expected, yanno? To qualify as cute, we need to be kept on our toes. How often is it that straight men pay attention to our hair? Not often. Not unless they happen to be stylists or…men who happened to be overly concerned with hair. Love songs equating first meeting experiences with the stages of a woman’s hair? Absolutely precious and actually real. Hellogoodbye’s When We First Met song is just that — a simple love song about meeting your significant other for the first time, in terms of…well, your hair. The music video is just as cute. Who would’ve thought that the 70s would give birth to a cartoon kitten who would then become one of pop culture’s most iconic figures for cute?
