No one really dresses up like they used to when they’re out in public. Back in the good old days before I was born, men wore suits and women wore dresses. Within the past twenty-something years, the concepts of business casual and casual Fridays at the office have become mainstays. And jeans? They have become a little more acceptable as formal wear. In selecting the 10 Cutest Youtube Animal Videos of 2009, I had only two requirements. One, that they must be super freakin’ cute animals and two; at least a million other people thought so. Some girls want plush toy dolls for Christmas. Some, don’t. Me? I’ll take a life-sized Rirakkuma bear, thanks. (Remember, bigger = better.) What’s pictured is most likely a lowly Japanese teenager slaving away to make ends meet and not an actual life-sized plush doll. Of all beauty parlors I have ever set foot in or seen pictures of, Michael Angelo’s Wonderland Beauty Parlor in New York City really sets itself apart as being literally, a wonderland. Looking at these submitted photos, you kind of wonder if you’re looking at somewhere Alice in Wonderland would go to get her hair did or basically anywhere out of a fairytale story. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t have men lining up and down the block for me in the pursuit of serenading the ultimate love song to me. Sad, but true. In fact, now that I think about it, I’ve never been serenaded before. The Happy Birthday song doesn’t count.
