Former high-fashion model Gemma Ward has been making waves in the fashion world with recent public sightings since the death of former boyfriend Heath Ledger. Since his passing, she’s become the target of criticism by international fashion magazines for her weight gain. To grieve her loss, she stepped out of the fashion limelight and emerged recently in public looking healthy and just downright gorgeous. Personally, I’ve never understood the backlash against Gemma. If I were to describe in words who San-X’s newest character Iiwaken is, you’d either laugh or be jealous…or both. According to what’s been posted on the official San-X site, Iiwaken is a loyal Shiba-Inu dog who spends its days waking up his salary man master or drawing with crayons. Wait a second…Shiba-Inu’s can hold crayons? I bet you’re just as impressed as I am. More »
I’m a firm believer in that for all things in life, bigger is usually…better. It’s okay to let your imaginations run wild for just a little bit. When your imagination is all settled, here’s something to consider: Such is not the case with toys! The smaller a toy is, the cuter! Especially if it’s any one of these toys that were spotted in New York City’s Toy Tokyo store. More »
As part of the ongoing preview on CrazySingleLife, we’re going to introduce some of the dating stars before the site launches. Each dater on CSL will have an alias derived from a color. They also have to write two posts before they start dating, an introduction post and a Mr./Ms. Right post. The introduction post is meant as a description of themselves, but not like height, age, occupation. It’s more a window into their soul and the journey that their heart has been on. The second post is an open letter to the future Mr./Ms. Right so that he or she will know to come calling on our daters.
The following except is from the introductory letter of Tenne, one of the two male bloggers for CSL. On Tuesday, you will meet Cerulean and on Wednesday you will meet Steel. Enjoy! More »

The last thing that comes to mind when thinking guinea pigs is the word fierce. Beyonce, sure. Guinea pigs, not so much. When I think guinea pigs, the only word that comes to mind is adorable. A guinea pig rocking a flower behind the ear as an accessory? That calls for two words: cute and fierce. More »

Japan, you’ve done it again. The Strapya Itazura Coin Bank has got to be the cutest piggy bank I’ve ever seen. Although, given that it’s just a box with a kitty or puppy that pops out to take your money, I don’t think it’d be fair to call it a piggy bank. Perhaps, a kitty or puppy bank? Another question I’ve got in mind is…why stop at kitty banks? Why not ATM machines? More »
Like every other person, I love chocolate with every ounce of my being. Chocolate when it’s packaged ever-so-cutely for the holidays? It’s all over. As in, Max Brenner, I don’t know who you are because I live in Southern California, but you can pretty much own my soul now. That’s how bad I have it for these chocolates in these pictures that were submitted to me. More »
Although Korea is often credited as the leader of the blemish balm (BB cream) trend, that is hardly the case. Put simply, BB cream is tinted moisturizer that boasts other benefits such as UV-ray protection, acne and oil control. It is the beauty god’s gift to the lazy girl. While the popularity of Korean BB cream has skyrocketed over the last year or so, tinted moisturizer, I’m sorry to say, is nothing new. Nor is its use limited to Korea! As a fan of BB cream, I can confidently say that I’ve been around the international block. More »
From Ningin: It’s fact, beauty standards vary across cultures. One country may have a deep appreciation for tanned, bronze skin and curvaceous figures while another may deem pale complexions and leaner figures beautiful. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, truly. Having traveled to Asia a few times, I’ve been able to identify and put together a list of Top 5 Asian beauty trends. More »

Being from sunny Southern California, my perception of what the winter season should be like is completely skewed. Out of whack, even. It’s been over a decade since I’ve seen snow, I don’t own a coat and temperatures below 60 F degrees require a good amount of emotional preparation. Luckily, Orisinal.com has just released “Winterbells,” a winter-themed bunny flash game! More »
I think the people at Harper’s Bazaar were listening to me the other day griping over how expensive everything is while walking around Southern California’s biggest high-end mall. For fun and window shopping, mind you. In their response to my cries, they’ve published an editorial featuring Jessica Stam photographed by Miguel Reveriego called, “Cheap Thrills.” Everything in this editorial is less than $100! More »
I want to love all the mainstream energy drinks that exist on the market, but I just can’t. Monster, Redbull, Rockstar all leave me burnt out after two hours. Contrary to popular belief, my days last longer than two hours. I’m also not a fan of the taurine after taste. The solution to all my energy drink problems lies in Go Girl energy drinks. Try not to judge the name of the drink too hard. Or the fact that it’s obscenely too pink for public. More »
This shouldn’t come as a surprise to you, but I’m kind of a sucker for cute packaging, especially if it’s make-up. Take Benefit’s Posie Tint for example. It’s chrome pink and named after one of my favorite flowers, the posie. To me, it’s a god-send being both a liquid cheek AND lip stain. Despite the winter season’s tendency to favor dark flushed winter cheeks over bright posie (not rosy) cheeks, I’m still willing to opt for instant gratification if it means giving me a brighter, warmer face. I’m make-up rebel, basically. More »
From Ningin: BoA, the epitome of beauty should be no surprise to own most of the best beauty commercials. Before Girls’ Generation and Son Dam bi were crowned, BoA has been remained the queen of advertising in Korea. A few good beauty companies are tied to her name such as Fasio (Kose), Maybeline and Missha. Ever since BoA debuted, her gorgeous face has been captivating audiences and hypnotizing men and women alike with the combination of her charm, sexiness, innocence, beauty, charisma and star qualities.
