Fashion always finds inspiration in the most unusual places. While on the Etsy homepage the other day, I saw that day’s Handpicked Items were inspired by Twitter. Yes, Twitter! Its bluebird mascot has become somewhat of a cultural icon within the past few years since, as the saying goes, everyone and their mama have tweeted. Twitter not only found a way into people’s everyday lives, but into some wardrobes as well.
These tattoo thigh high stockings by Post really stood out to me. They’re sexy, yet geeky at the same time.

Twitter can be used as a place to vent out frustration and curse like this potty-mouthed bluebird on a clutch designed by CutOutAndCollect.

If you want something more personalized, PunkyJane can customize a necklace with your Twitter name on it.

For something a bit more flashy, maybe this Twitterati necklace by cbtscloset is more your preference.

Weezawear designed a corduroy skirt ideal for the colder seasons.

How adorable is rockmyworldinc’s Twitter bird ring?

And for fun, The Daily Nail created a little tribute to Twitter.

I dunno why people would want to advertise twitter as a fashion. But I must confess, the birdie’s so cute! =)
Facebook is not as cute as Twitter, so I doubt it. FB only comes in the form of weird pillows. Of course anything MySpace may just be plain ugly.

Not surprised at all. Twitter is so famous, everyone tweets. Lol. Love the logo though :)
