Now why would I think a skinny, androgynous creature like the guy pictured above would be cute? Well, it’s because I find androgynous creatures cute (like Sponge Bob Squarepants). There are other reasons why this particular one is cute to me. Doc Hammer is the co-creator of The Venture Bros., a visual artist, and a musician who has an affinity for finely tailored suits and wears rings on almost every finger. He also is an avid reader of 19th century literature, smokes cigarettes, drinks coffee, has tattoos all over his upper body, and has wit and charisma seeping out of every pore. However, these are not the reasons I find him cute.

Although it may seem like he’s something other than boyish, don’t let his image fool you. Doc is actually a huge geek (because geeky guys are always cute). He’s a fanboy of different things, which I see referenced many times in episodes of The Venture Bros and various interviews. He gets extra points for voicing one of my favorite characters Dr. Mrs. The Monarch (aka Dr. Girlfriend). Also, he has a slightly self-deprecating humor, makes himself easily accessible to fans, watches Degrassi: the Next Generation, and is a fantastic dancer. I shouldn’t leave out that fact that he has a pet cat because, you know, men supposedly can’t own cats. Admittedly, I’m a fangirl of Doc and have dubbed him as the Backstreet Boy of my adulthood. A. J. McLean has permanently been replaced. The 16 year old in me is crying inside.

Check out his awesomeness in this video.
