8 Signs that you’re cute [Cute 101]

Ever have those days where you wake up and you feel everything but cute? Of course you do. Even the cutest of cute have off days. Some more than others. At the same time, the state of being un-cute is often just a bad state of mind. You may view yourself as being off on a particular day, but the whole world views the opposite. For times like those, I’ve come up with a list of signs you can refer to to ensure that you are indeed, cute.

1. You smile often. Smiling conveys happiness. Happiness is always cute. Studies reveal that when you smile, certain chemicals are triggered in your brain to start producing more endorphins and seratonin. Both are hormones known to produce feelings of happiness. Nat King Cole wasn’t wrong when he sang, “Smile though your heart is breaking…”

2. You laugh, and laugh often when appropriate. Laughter reflects your soul. You’ve got a great one, share it with others. Prior to laughing often, run your laugh by your friends to see if it sounds weird. There’s such a thing as weird laughter — think Janice on Friends.

3. You’re polite and well-mannered. This one’s a no brainer and it reflects a positive upbringing. Being positive attracts other positive, cute people.

4. You keep up your appearance despite having an off day. Unfortunately in this society, what you look like on the outside tends to reflect you on the inside for most people. Even if you’re having an off day, fake it by looking fabulous. This means keeping yourself well-groomed and healthy looking.

5. You have fun, no matter what. Who doesn’t want to be around someone social and outgoing?

6. You’ve no shame in dishing out compliments! Let’s face it. Everyone loves a compliment, but not everyone is gutsy enough to give them out. Dishing out compliments expresses to others that you’re brave and you like to make others happy. Don’t go overboard on this though — you may start sounding fake.

7. You’re an active listener. Being cute comes from being vivacious, bubbly and happy. Being really engaged in conversation through active listening shows that you’re interested in the person you’re talking to. Being a great listener is always attractive.
