After seeing Brad Doggett playing his acoustic guitar so sweetly and singing in his mellow jello voice, I’ve come to realize that I can’t live without his music.

Ok, no. But you get my point. I’ve been replaying his covers of Viva la Vida, She is Love, So Sick, Slow Dancing in a Burning Room, Green Light, Toxic, Apologize, and even Love Story, a song I was not partial to before.

My favorite cover from him is “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” a song written by Bob Crewe and Bob Glaudio, originally sung by Frankie Valli in 1967.

You’re just too good to be true.
Can’t take my eyes off you.
You’d be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I’m alive.
You’re just too good to be true.
Can’t take my eyes off you.

Pardon the way that I stare.
There’s nothing else to compare.
The sight of you leaves me weak.
There are no words left to speak,
But if you feel like I feel,
Please let me know that it’s real.
You’re just too good to be true.
Can’t take my eyes off you.

I love you, baby,
And if it’s quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don’t bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay
And let me love you, baby.
Let me love you.

You’re just too good to be true.
Can’t take my eyes off you.
You’d be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I’m alive.
You’re just too good to be true.
Can’t take my eyes off you.

I love you, baby,
And if it’s quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don’t bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay..

I wish I was the one in his lap, inbetween his lovely arms instead. It would be a nice song to sing to your other, if not whenever, on Valentine’s Day.

Check out more of his songs on his youtube page or myspace.
