So for Valentine’s Day, I went to the theaters with my boyfriend to watch the romantic drama, Dear John– a movie, much to my surprise, that he decided upon (though to his credit, he didn’t really know what the movie was about, other than he heard it was good). I, on the other hand, wanted to watch Daybreakers, but they weren’t screening it anymore by that time.

He liked the movie, I didn’t (sorry, I couldn’t even sit through The Notebook either– it’s just not my cup of tea). However, I came out with a newfound respect for actress Amanda Seyfried, who enraptured me with her hair and her voice. She sang a lovely song called “Little House.” I had no idea that she could sing so well (I didn’t watch Mamma Mia!, so this was all news to me).

Ends up, according to LA Times in an interview with Seyfried,

“Singing was Seyfried’s first passion and she trained from age 11 to 17 in her hometown of Allentown, Pa. “When I moved to New York, I quit because I was acting regularly on ‘All My Children.’ I didn’t have time for it.”

Such a shame. She sings very beautifully.
