Holy smokes, the Dagashi Bar in Ebisu is every child’s dream come true where you can eat all the candy and snacks you want upon entering (and paying).
“Tokyo’s all-you-can-eat “dagashi” [cheap sweets] bar [...] [gives] stressed-out Japanese a chance to relive the good old days when their biggest problem was deciding between fizzy sticks and sour plums.” (via Reuters)
The bar is styled like a an old corner shop from the first decade or two after WWII, decorated with advertisements, posters, and other objects from the 1960s to evoke nostalgia.
