While we’re still on the subject of watermelons, Vans came out with watermelon inspired sneakers awhile back for their 2009 Spring collection. They were featured in 3 different styles– the Chukka, Era, and Slip-On.

It’s an interesting idea, but I don’t know I’d feel about wearing them. However, I do think that Vans did a decent job in comparison with Mike Perry’s Nike Delta “Watermelon” Customs

and Adidas Watermelon Forum Mid
