Portland, Oregon jewelry designer Stephanie Simek uses strange, unconventional materials to create unique and wearable necklaces. I have a penchant for unsual jewelry, which is what drew me to her designs.

Her signature eyelash necklace is made from real human hair and has been featured in magazines such as Bust and Italian Glamour and Marie Claire. Other materials she uses are crystallized sugar, honeycombs, and quail eggs. Never have I seen a quail egg lined in gold leaf look so exquisite before.
