Cute. Anyways, this brings me the subject of Chinese face reading!
Chinese face reading is a form of divination (also referred to as a pseudoscience) that has been around for thousands of years. In face reading, the shape of your face and your facial features are used to derive inferences about your personality. If you consider your face to be a reflection of your personality, here’s some information on what your features have to say.
5 Basic Facial Shapes
1. A round, plump, and fleshy face is considered a Water-shape Face. Those who have water-shape faces tend to be flexible and adaptable. They have a strong drive for power and money, but are also generally seen as sympathetic.
2. People with long, thin faces are considered to have a Wood-shape Face. They tend to be a little lonely, preferring their own company to others. They are ambitious and want to succeed.
3. People with pointed chins are considered to have Fire-shape Face. These people can be quite hot-tempered and fiery, but equally, they can also be extraordinarily strong and carry much physical courage.
4. An Earth-shape Face is thick and heavy, full face that is slightly wide. They tend to have a steady and calm nature, but they can be quite aggressive and secretive.
5. A Metal-shape Face is squared. Metal faces suggest strength, balance, and firmness. They tend to possess a fighting spirit.
Facial Features
1. The forehead is classified as wide, narrow, round, and shallow. Practicality and cleverness is associated with a wide forehead– people with wide foreheads are capable of executing duties diligently. An individual with a deep or round forehead is an idealistic person– these people value longstanding friendship. Constraints and obstacles in family life are associated with a narrow forehead, while obstacles in career and family troubles are associated with shallow forehead.
2. The eyebrows of a person reveals his temperament. A highly developed brow line, means the individual is observant and is dexterous. Sensitive and aesthetic temperaments are associated with a straight brow. A person whose brow grows thickly over his nose bridge is considered to be possessive and envious of others. A thin set of eyebrows reveal the cautious nature of an individual while making major decisions.
3. The eyes indicate the spirit of the face. The space of one eye’s width between your eyes is most ideal– it means you have a balanced judgment and clear view of the world. People with eyes that are farther apart tend to be very laid back and relaxed, while people whose eyes are close together tend to be very focused. Unevenly set eyes convey that the person is capable of seeing things from a different perspective and applying lateral thought processes to resolving problems. These people will analyze your comments and observations, offering impromptu insights. If the eyes slant upwards, the person is an opportunist, and even more so if the brows also slant in that direction. If the eyes slant downwards, the person may be a little self deprecating and at the mercy of others– they find it hard to be able to say “no”.
4. The ideal nose has a high, straight, full, and fleshy tip with gently flared but protected nostrils. A good sized nose is an indication of wealth and the capacity to earn money– it shows the attitude a person has to the issue of finances. A hooked nose portrays strong will, independence and enterprise with successful mid years. An upturned nose betokens a luck in social circumstances and a love of mixing with people.
5. Cheeks tell the story of industriousness, power, and authority in a person’s life. The stronger the cheeks, the more authoritative you are. Those in positions of control, executive power, and leadership will often be seen to possess very strong, prominent cheeks. Prominent cheeks that are not fleshy shows your frugal and economical disposition. Underdeveloped cheeks means you have an apathetic communication style and tend to be a little laid back, usually quite happy with what providence brings along. Sometimes the cheeks appear to be strong in their presentation and are pronounced, but are lacking at the base– this means you are a forceful individual who is combative by nature. You are reactive to the circumstances and people around you and are learning the lessons of graciously living and letting live. If your cheeks are narrow but strong, you have a very stubborn streak in your nature– you are extremely forceful in the way you present your opinions and ideas to others.
6. The lips often reflect relationships. People with thin, narrow lips tend to be argumentative, while people with well-shaped, round lips are generally much more charming in their
conversation.
7. A firm chin that slightly turns up will help a person hang on to his wealth– this is because the chin helps “catch” the wealth from the tip of the nose. A protruding chin displays a strongly independent, determined individual. A weak or receding chin reveals a weaker willed personality.
My Result
With a Fire-shape Face, I am hot-tempered, fiery, strong, and courageous, but I also carry a sensitive and aesthetic temperament (straight brow). Practical and clever, capable of executing duties diligently (wide forehead), I have balanced judgment and a clear view of the world (evenly set eyes). I am going to be bloody rich (good sized nose). I possess strong, prominent cheeks, which means that I’m authoritative and controlling– however, with my well-shaped lips, I’m also generally charming in conversation. My protruding chin says that I am a strongly independent, determined individual.
In other words, I am fucking awesome and I’m not going to contest that.
Remember, a pseudoscience is any subject that appears superficially to be scientific, but is not supported by evidence and lacks scientific status. You can take it seriously or you can consider it a bit of fun. Either way, what does your face shape reveal about you?
