Former Project Runway contestant Diana Eng was known as the geeky Asian girl who had a love for science, technology, and fashion. Although she was quiet compared to her more outspoken peers, Eng expressed herself through her inventive clothing designs. Last month, Eng unveiled her Fairytale Fashion Collection at Eyebeam Atelier, located in New York City.

She combined all her passions into one clothing line, turning whimsical, flowing garments into technological pieces of art. Amazing and innovative, this is surely the future of fashion design. I hope my fairy godmother gets the message that when I say I want a sparkling ball gown, I mean literally light up and not have sequins–they have a tendency to fall off.
