Detroit, Michigan has a reputation for being a miserable city (no thanks to Forbes magazine). However, it is not completely dismal when it comes to fashion. Studio Jellyfish–founded by husband and wife duo Philip and Courtney Mason–adds artistic flair to their shoes and accessories.

The bold, girly designs are painted on by hand. Their vibrant creations are not only pleasing to the eye, but can stand up against water and can be washed too. Fashionable and durable? What more can a girl ask for?

Although based in a supposedly miserable city, Studio Jellyfish is definitely a company that creates exciting fashion that is far from drab.
