When you think of Hello Kitty, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? I’ve asked a couple of people and it seems that the general consensus is “cute.” You know what else is cute? DBSK! Okay, this is actually debatable, as I personally wouldn’t use “cute” as a word to sum up DBSK, but hey–I needed a somewhat decent segue into what I’m about to say next. Putting my personal opinion aside, it would seem that the Hello Kitty officials deemed DBSK, or at least the song penned by Yoochun and Jaejoong, two of its members, cute enough to become Hello Kitty’s 35th Anniversary Theme Song!
Needless to say, I really love Colors~ Melody and Harmony, otherwise I wouldn’t be spending time blogging about it. Not only do Yoochun’s and Jaejoong’s voices complement each other perfectly, but the lyrics are meaningful and deal with how much they want to continue being able to convey their feelings and their thanks to their fans through their love of music. I could rant more about this song and the lyrics, but I figure that you’d rather take a listen.
Live from the 4th Tour at Tokyo Dome: (w/subs)
Colors was first preformed for the first time during their 4th Live Tour at the Tokyo Dome. They sound amazing (as usual) live. I actually like this version better than their recorded version, where they changed up the instrumentals into something a little more cutesy, presumably because it might suit Hello Kitty a bit more. Here’s the MV for the song, so you guys can decide for yourselves.
Colors~Melody and Harmony MV: (w/subs)
Overall, I commend Sanrio’s choice–they have good music taste! What do you guys think?
(Also, this is fairly obvious, but these videos are not mine. All credit goes to the uploaders.)
