Standing at 5 feet, 1 inches, I have been vertically challenged most of my life. I know the agony of trying to reach for something on a high shelf or shop for a pair of pants that do not go pass my feet. Well, thanks to Adi Marom’s invention, SHORT++, the future looks brighter for us petite folk.
SHORT++ is a pair of robotic elevator shoes that allows short people, like myself, to have the ability to reach heights we could not think possible. Being at eye level with a taller person or reaching for that object on a high shelf will become effortless with the slide of a button.

The shoes are controlled by an iPhone app called UP. It gives one the ability adjust its height to her liking. For a real life demonstration on how it works, you can view the video here.

Even though SHORT++ is height friendly, it is not so ergonomically feet friendly. If only the shoes were not so clunky and came in different colors, then I can somehow work them into my summer wardrobe.
