Using a self-invented technique of conserving and casting flowers in plastic, Copenhagen-based designer Alidra Alic incorporates materials such as freshwater pearls, precious stones and metals to create contemporary pieces of jewelry to be worn as statements of art (by those who dare, that is). Her work can be found exhibited in international galleries and museums.
The pieces featured below are from her “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” collection.
“The foundation of my work for the collection ‘Alice’s adventures in Wonderland’ is floral motifs found in aesthetics from the late 1800’s. These motifs are reflected in the cultural and art historical framework of that period, as well as in the literary work ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.’ I interpret this literary work into a personal concept and illustrate this through contemporary jewelry using a self-invented plastic and casting technique.”
It’s an unusual interpretation, but they’re quite fascinating and beautiful, aren’t they?

I think those are very artistic. I love them all. I would wear them for a photoshoot but that is about it. Scared I would break them.

but are they wearable? i can’t imagine having a castle sticking out of my finger.
i’m sure it’s more of a show piece lol or you become really careful and aware that a castle is resting on your finger XD
