I picked up a Sanrio Hello Kitty Lip Balm courtesy of YesStyle the other day and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it works and how cute it is. At first glance you might look at the lip balm and think, “Jinra, aren’t you a little too old for chapstick with Hello Kitty’s body as the head…that hangs off a necklace?” The answer my friends, is no. You’re never too old. Plus, if the Hello Kitty body easily detaches itself to reveal an average looking cherry-flavored lip balm.

As far as the lip balm quality, it works well and does the job. I’d say it protects your lips for up to 4 hours. It’s also got a pleasant cherry scent to it and tastes like cherry.

If you’re wondering, I don’t actually use the Hello Kitty figurine necklace it comes with — I’ve taken the figurine and placed it on my desk as a decorative piece/paperweight. For the record, I wouldn’t mind wearing the necklace.
