Most Asian countries have their own version of a shaved ice dessert — chopped, bite-sized fruits of your choice and condensed milk over shaved ice and sometimes ice cream. The version of shaved ice that stands out the most to me is Korea’s Pat Bing Soo. Perfect for a hot summer day, Pat Bing Soo is your standard shaved ice dessert, only with red bean added. Pat Bing Soo is a pretty simple dessert to make.

All you need is diced fruits of your choice, condensed milk and shaved ice. Fill a bowl with shaved ice, top with diced fruits, red bean, ice cream, cereal — pretty much anything you want to eat with sweet shaved ice. Once you’ve loaded your bowl, add condensed milk then mix to your heart’s desire.
