Danbo comes from the Japanese word danboru meaning “corrugated cardboard.” As far as I know, Danbo sprung from the manga, Yotsuba, but this cute box robot has gained some fans of it’s own.

Artist Anton Tang has done some wonderful photography after buying his own Danbo, (they can be found on ebay). Many of these photos are very cute and heart warming. It’s pretty interesting to me, how a cardboard box robot, with a completely blank expression can portray so much emotion when photographed the right way. Take a look!
