Well… maybe not a masters, but this would be one class that I would NEVER skip! A sociology professor by the name of Mathieu Deflem from University of South Carolina will be teaching a course next semester with the title of Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame — say what? Below is an excerpt from the course description:

“The central objective is to unravel some of the sociologically relevant dimensions of the fame of Lady Gaga.”

Below is Prof. Deflem on whether or not GaGa will make a guest appearance at his class:

“I will get the word out to her that I’m doing the course. But it might be logistically too difficult for her to come because she will be on tour for most of the spring semester.”

Fabulous! not only a course, but also the hope that there might be a tiny sliver of a chance that she might come to the class? sign me up ASAP!
