Today’s cupcake, courtesy of user itsatlex, is a double rainbow! (Based off of the Youtube video that went viral.) The inside is made with food coloring and marzipan to create that thick solid rainbow. Filling is a coconut flavor, with buttercream frosting and coconut flakes on the top. From Ningin: Thanks to the 2010 New York Comic Con (NYCC) and New York Anime Festival (NYAF) taking place this past weekend, I’ve never had a weekend more packed with anime, manga/comics, cosplayers and video games. To put things more into perspective, at least 77,000 fans were in attendance — this event is easily the East Coast’s largest for anime, manga/comics and video games! Right in the middle of it all was me, a comic con attendee of only moderate passion for anime, manga/comics, cosplay and video games. And no, I did not dress up. Despite this, the comic con sensory overload and the exhaustion from walking what seemed to be miles of comic con space packed with everyone and their cosplaying hamsters, I managed to have myself a great time. From Finalfantasy14players: During Day 2 of the New York Comic Con, I was fortunate enough to sit down with Sage Sundi (Global Online Producer at Square Enix) and Yasu Kurosawa (North American Online Producer at Square Enix). We went through a lot of different topics about various rumors - PVP, summons, airships, XBOX 360 version - and addressed some of the main complaints about the game - UI, anima regen rate, storyline, etc. The most important thing I gather from talking to them was that they listen to a lot of feedback from players and that Final Fantasy 14 should be enjoyed at a well-moderated pace.
