I had always heard good things about the My Beauty Diary facemasks, so I was extremely excited to get the opportunity from YesStyle to review one - the Pearl Powder Mask totally sounded like a treat for my skin right from the start.

Arriving in its cute individual package, I have to note that it felt very full. In the sense that it was saturated with a lot of the to-be magical Pearl Powder liquid, which was good since that meant that there would be a lot of product for my tired skin to drink up.

The product description aims it for anyone who wants to whiten, hydrate, and restore their “skin’s youthful radiance.” A pretty appealing offer, though the whiten could also be taken to brighten up your complexion vs. whiten to a shade of…white.

Opening it up, it was pretty standard for what I’ve used for face masks before, nicely folded on top of a plastic-ish paper to make it easier to transfer the mask from the bag to your face. The size was actually pretty nice since the sideway oval-shape make it fit to the ends of my face really well and all the random crevices of my nose and eyes. The fragrance of the mask was also really pleasant, a very light and soothing floral-y smell that wasn’t overpowering at all.

Though I think my only gripe (that most likely isn’t going to be one for everyone else with a pretty normal sized face) was that the mask area between your nose and mouth was strangely long for me. Since I didn’t want to taste the mask, I had to improvise and cut it a bit to fold away.

As a standard, you’re suppose to leave on the mask for about 10-15 minutes minimum, but depending on when I wear them, I like to leave it on as long as possible (known to sleep in them and just remove it in the morning). But remember that heavily saturated note? Oh my goodness, it seriously stayed as moist as when I first put it on for the next two hours! Very impressive.

Sometime after that, I finally took it off and was super pleased at just how hydrated my skin looked, the “pearl-like” effect seemed to be there too, definitely a brighter look. But it was hard to capture on camera…but it’s there, I promise. Overall, a very solid face mask and I can definitely see why people rave for this particular line of face masks. The start of my addiction begins though I don’t hear my skin complaining at all one bit.

If you want to try this for yourself, you can pick it up right now (on sale) for about $17 at YesStyle.

Thanks for sharing!! It was quite nice!

wow lasts a long time moist. and 17$ is not that bad.
i should probably consider this one

$17 not bad of a price at all. The only thing that stops me from actually ordering is the shipping. I either try to spend enough to get the free shipping or wait until there’s a special day with free shipping ^^

The name is beautiful! X3
The outcome must be beautiful as well. :D

I HAVE THIS! And.. I don’t like how it’s so.. watery. Like, I wear it on my face and then the liquid starts dripping.. Does this happen to you?

Nevertheless, glad that you liked it! And thanks for the review smile

I was watching a movie for like a good hour when I had it on doing this lol but I didn’t notice any like “excess” liquid/enough of it to drip uncomfortably
does that happen with all the times you’ve worn it? or maybe it was just an extra-soaked mask for that time lol :] not really sure - i’ll try and see the next time

I likes these smile They smell delicious ♥
Your face looks really nice when you take it off. Dewy and healthy. However, I cannot say anything about long-term effects. I’m not an expert on masks and I haven’t tried any other mask so I don’t know what to expect XP
The mask is always too big for me so I cut off parts of it and save them for later. And I love how there is so much liquid. The mask always stays moist in the packaging :D

sweet~~ hm whiten skin? i’ve been looking for a product along those lines ^^ and woah 2 hours? awesome :3
thanks for the reveiw!
