Possibly one of my favourite actresses around, child star Emma Watson is best known for playing the role of Hermione Granger in the globally famous Harry Potter series. Why is Watson’s featuring in today’s Cute Girl Watch? Let’s take a look…

She was born in Paris and lived there until the age of five before moving to Oxfordshire, England. After training from the Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, from the tender age of ten years old, Watson grabbed parts in many plays and productions. Harry Potter was Watson’s very first professional role, although at that time, just eleven years old, she had “no idea of the scale of the film series”.

Aside from acting, Watson achieved excellent GCSE grades at school (whilst concentrating on acting!) and has gone on to attend America’s Brown University. With the Potter series about to end in July 2011 and having finished filming for the whole series in June 2010, Watson continued to pursue other activities. She’s continued acting and will start filming The Perks of Being a Wallflower this summer, as well as starring in various other roles. Watson is also greatly into her fashion and has been the face of Burberry and People Tree.

Money is not an issue for the young star as she’s 6th place on the Forbes list of “Most Valuable Young Stars” and her Harry Potter work alone has earned her £10 million.

All in all, Watson has everything. Beauty, talent, brains, a caring attitude and very importantly, modesty. That’s why she’s on our Cute Girl Watch.
