Today’s Cute Girl Watch features New York-born Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, who happens to be the same age as me. That’s about as much we have in common really. Ronan’s name first became big in the film Atonement which earned her BAFTA, Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations at just age 13.

Ronan has also starred in I Could Never Be Your Woman, City of Ember, The Way Back and The Lovely Bones. She may just be sweet sixteen, but this young girl has achieved a considerable amount.

Expect Saoirse Ronan to pop up again soon with appearances in Hanna, Violet & Daisy, The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle and The Hobbit.
