Best known for portraying Effy in British teen drama Skins, Kaya Scodelario is both an actress and model. Scodelario has an English father and Brazilian mother, making her fluent in both English and Portugese and lives with dyslexia.

14 year old Kaya Scodelario turned up at the Skins auditions and suddenly realising that she was too young, started to leave before being stopped by a producer who asked her to go ahead with the audtition for Effy’s part. The character of Effy went on to being the only main character to be show in Skins series 1-4 despite having only small lines in the first series.

Scodelario has modelled for a number of magazines including Teen Vogue, Elle UK and Nylon. She will star in the upcoming film Wuthering Heights and Skins: The Movie.
