Today’s Cute Girl Watch features Kat DeLuna, an American pop and R&B singer who has a vocal range up to soprano, who released her first single, Whine Up in 2007. The singer has Dominican roots and can also do the genres of Latin, dance and hip hop.

Kat is known worldwide, for her first single was one of the most played songs in the summer that it was released. What’s really admirable, I find, is that Kat was in fact bought up in poverty. It was only when she moved back from the Dominican Republic (where she had went to at a young age) to the US that her singing talent was realized by herself, although friends and family had praised her vocal abilities.

The successful singer has peformed with the likes of Shontelle, Busta Rhymes and Lil’ Wayne and has won a string of awards such as The Casandra Award for New International Artist.
