The never ending efforts put in by celebrities to raise money for Japan has not gone unnoticed and new ways to create relief aid are popping up constantly. Justin Bieber,Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, 3 of the biggest superstars in the music industry today are planning on releasing an album for the sole purpose of supporting relief efforts in Japan.
The album will be a digital compilation created by Universal Music. Universal Music has told MTV “we are doing it only digitally because it is faster, and this will be a worldwide release. The plan is to have it available later this week.”
The final artist lineup is not official but there are talks of Lady Gaga, U2 and Bon Jovi possibly hopping on board with the project. All proceeds will be donated to the Japan Red Cross.
You have got to love how artists reach out to support people in need. I hope this album is a success so that a large donation can be made.
