Cute Boy Watch: Shawn Ashmore

Today’s Cute Boy Watch, as suggested by wacky_tomboy, features 31 year old Canadian actor Shawn Ashmore. He is best known for his roles as Jake on Animorphs and Iceman in the X-men film series.

Although Shawn Ashmore was born in Richmond, British Columbia, he was actually raised in Brampton, Ontario, where he and his twin brother, also an actor, Aaron Ashmore, attended school. Shawn and Aaron have acted as twins in a number of films, but have since pursued separate acting careers. Aaron is slightly taller than Shawn, and an interesting fact is that Shawn usually gets casted as the nice guy, while Aaron gets casted as the bad guy.

Shawn’s most famous role would be acting as Iceman in the X-men film series, where he actually portrayed his character through the many sequels, unlike many other minor characters, which always switched actors. Shawn has also starred in Disney’s Cadet Kelly as Cadet Major Brad Rigby, guest-starred in two episodes of Smallville as Eric Summers, and starred on Animorphs as Jake Berenson and In a Heartbeat as Tyler Connell.

He is to play the part of Ralph Fults in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.
