Today’s edition of Origins of Cute features very famous Pokemon Pikachu! Pikachu is known as the electric rat and can shoot out bolts of lightning. The little cute critter was first seen in the very first episode of Pokemon, where protagonist Ash Ketchum woke up late and couldn’t get any of the starter Pokemon. As a result, Professor Oak told Ash he could have Pikachu. Watch out, though, Pikachu doesn’t like being in a Pokeball, which is why in the anime and game Pokemon Yellow, it is always walking about. Ash’s Pikachu is one of a kind, you tend to not see any other Pikachu, really. In general, Pikachu are known to have acute hearing and is short and chubby.
