For those who like to naturally tan (though you shouldn’t for too long), you might consider sporting The Solar Bikini. Seriously. The best part is that the solar power you soak up can charge your iPod (or camera, etc.) as you get golden.

Made of photovoltaic panels that were hand-sewn together with conductive thread, the suit cost almost $200 to make. You can even swim with it, just make sure it’s completely dry before hooking up your gadget to charge.

As a side note, the designer, Andrew Schneider, is already planning his next dual-use swim piece, “the iDrink“, which are swim trunks for males that can cool their beer (or any can-like drink, I would assume).
