Cute Biker Heels That Are a Steal Vs. the Real Deal

So I’ve recently gone bargain hunting at my local Ross Store, and as usual I always tend to run towards the shoe section first. Now I’ve recently decided to start trading in my sneakers for heels since I’m wanting to transform my wardrobe to be a little more womanly from than my usual tomboy outfits which always leaves with people asking me if I’m still in grade school.

So I go searching through the aisles and I come across an abundance of these Madden Girl Booties in the style Karli pictured above. I liked that the heel was short, and in addition it had a little platform concealed in the design so even though the heel looks about 3.5″, its actually only 2.5″ which I think is a good starting point for a person that has never really worn heels. I also liked the fact that it was a bootie style because it feels very sturdy.

So I check the price tag and it happens to be $19.99 which I thought it was a great deal because I’ve seen similar designs running for at least double. Once I get home I naturally go online to look for more information about the shoes because It just seems to be a habit of mine these days and I’m surprised to find absolutely no information nor picture whatsoever. Hmm… that seems a bit strange.

On the left is Steve Madden’s “Seryna”, On the Right is Alexander McQueen’s “Faithful”

Madden Girl usually have similar designs to the Steve Maddens, main difference is the Madden Girl’s have shorter, chunkier heels, while the Steve Maddens have the taller, more stiletto-y heels. So I’m assuming that my pair of Karli’s are the “baby” versions of the Seryna’s, which are a dupe of the McQueen Faithfuls. Interesting. After a bit more research I found out that back in 09, McQueen sent Madden a cease and desist in copying the Faithfuls. Perhaps this might be the reason for finding these at such a low price at a discount store? who knows.

Regardless, I think the design is cute, yet it has that edgy “biker” flare, and I’m glad to have it in my ever growing shoe collection even though they aren’t the original McQueens (I can pretend they are though!).
