A highly requested and one of my most favorite dishes of all time will be featured in today’s Nom This article, where it will give you an insight into the lovely world of Korean cuisine. Ladies and Gentlemen, the moment you have all been waiting for *drum roll* … And the dish is….. Ddukbokkie!

For those who are unaware, let me span on the term “Ddukbokkie” in simple words for you. Ddukbokkie is simply a dish of Hot and Spicy Rice Cakes that has over the years has become a staple in Korean cuisine and particularly has become a major commodity of Korea’s night life. You will literally encounter several different Ddukbokkie stalls within a span over a hundred metres from each other in an archetypal Korean Night Market.

Lately I have been very weary and conscious of what I ate, with a new philosophy that I have recruited and now abide by, “Don’t put anything disgusting in your mouth, otherwise you’re gaining weight for no reason.” And for that reason, I have been lacking on Nom This ideas but with my recent trip to Korea Town, I become inspired with Ddukbokkie. It is safe to say that Ddukbokkie, is absolutely one of my favorite foods that has been derived from Korea and besides the chilliness, the flavor is absolutely stunning.

What’s more dumbfounding? It is so easy to make! From this recipe from Maangchi, it only requires a MIND-BLOWING 4 steps! Hence, this makes the recipe easy to replicate and master

To make Ddukbokkie, you will need the following :
1 package of rice cake
beef strips
soy sauce
sugar
garlic
onion
King oyster mushrooms
water
