In Fireflies in the Garden, they may seem like the perfect, successful American family, with the father Charles Taylor (Willem Dafoe) being a university professor and soon to become the university president, son Michael Taylor (Ryan Renolds) being a successful romantic novel writer, daughter Ryne (Shannon Lucio) about to enter a prestigious law school and mother Lisa (Julia Roberts) finally graduating from university a decade after she entered due to raising her children. However, once you look at the inside, you start to see that reality comes to play when accident occurs and everything isn’t what it seems to be.
